The Post's latest story on Ladner...

The Washington Post has published yet another story on the reign of Ben Ladner as AU's President. For any who want proof of the Post's media bias, look no further than its seemingly innocuous reference to criticism of Ladner's lifestyle by a "former student" Adam Eidinger.

If you've ever watched local TV footage of nearly any liberal protest held in this city, you know Adam Eidinger. He's the one with short reddish hair, long "mutton chop" sideburns, and glasses with thick black rims. For anyone who doesn't recognize him, here is the website he put up when he ran for DC Shadow Rep as a member of the "DC Statehood Green Party".

He is a self-aggrandizing, far left activist whose best trait is his ability to get himself on TV. Notice the picture on his website of his guest appearance on "Hardball."

He is not representative of AU's population, and it's lazy and unfair of the Post to simply refer to him as a "former student". They should at least report that he is a self-acknowledged member of the far left fringe and that such information is relevant to understanding his criticism of the Ladner's lifestyle, which he no doubt sees as an oppression of the proletariat.

Good post, Brian. Reporters and these professional quote-givers have such a parasitic relationship. Nice to see it exposed.

Another point to the story being biased - where's the former student who supports Ladner. I bet they're out there.
